Galastop dosage

Postby KateGould » Fri Apr 09, 2010 3:23 pm

I have a female rat on a daily dose of 0.18 mg of galastop because she developed a small mammary tumour. It seems to be keeping the tumour small and I'm wondering if I should reduce the dose or keep it at the current one. Anyone know the suggested dose for galastop?

There is no suggested dose for Galastop in rats, as it's only normally used on dogs. I've used between 0.1mls once/twice a day and 0.4mls once/twice a day on rats here with no observable side effects, so I'd say if the dose you're using seems to be working keep it at that level. If you reduce the dose now there's a good chance the tumour will start to grow again as the Galastop wears off, so I'd leave things as they are.
